OBOMEDIA LLC ("OBOMEDIA", "we", "us"), a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA, operates this website and its related applications (the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the rights you have concerning it, including rights granted by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), other U.S. state privacy laws, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Information We Collect

We collect only the following categories of personal information. We do not collect categories of sensitive information (official identification numbers, financial account data, precise geolocation, health data, racial or ethnic origin, beliefs, biometric data, or content of private communications).

  • Identifiers: name, email, and password (stored with one-way encryption) when you register.
  • Commercial Information: membership plan, subscription history, and payment status. Payments are processed through Stripe; we never store card numbers on our servers. Please refer to Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Internet Activity: pages visited, content played, and preferences (such as language), to operate and improve the Service.
  • Cookies: we only use essential cookies to maintain your session and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or marketing trackers.

How We Use Information

  • To provide the Service, manage your account and subscription (contract performance).
  • To process payments and send communications regarding your membership.
  • To improve the content and experience of the Service (legitimate interest).
  • To prevent fraud and abuse, and to protect the security of the Service.
  • To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We Do Not Sell or Share Your Information

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA and other U.S. state privacy laws), and have not done so in the past 12 months. We also do not use or disclose sensitive personal information, nor do we have actual knowledge of selling or sharing information of individuals under 16 years of age. As we do not sell or share data, we do not offer a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link; if this changes, we will publish it here and enable that mechanism before doing so.

With Whom We Share Data

We only share data with vendors who process it on our behalf and under contract (processors): Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and authentication), Railway (hosting), Cloudflare (content delivery and security), Resend (transactional email), and Google/YouTube platforms (video hosting and playback). We may also disclose information if required by law (court order or valid governmental request), to enforce our terms, or in a merger or sale of the company (in which case the acquirer will be subject to this policy).

Opt-Out Signals (Global Privacy Control)

As we do not sell or share personal information, opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) or "Do Not Track" do not alter any processing: your browsing already receives the most protective treatment that these signals request.

Our Service and our internal publishing tools utilize YouTube API Services. By using YouTube-related features, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Your privacy rights in the United States

If you reside in California or any other state with an active privacy law (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others), you have the following rights, which we extend to all our users regardless of where they live:

  • Right to know and access: To know what categories and specific pieces of personal information we have about you, the sources, purposes, and with whom we share it, and to receive a copy.
  • Right to correct: To request the correction of inaccurate information.
  • Right to delete: To request the deletion of your personal information, with exceptions allowed by law (e.g., billing records we must retain).
  • Right to portability: To receive your data in a usable and transferable format.
  • Right to opt out of sale/sharing: We do not sell or share data, so this right is already satisfied by default for all users.
  • Right to limit sensitive data: We do not collect sensitive personal information, so there is no use to limit.
  • Non-discrimination: We will not deny you the Service, charge you different prices, or provide a different quality for exercising any of these rights.

How to exercise your rights

Submit your request to aplicacion@obomedia.com from the email associated with your account (this is how we verify your identity; we may ask for additional reasonable information if necessary). You may use an authorized agent if they provide us with your signed permission. We will respond within 45 days (extendable by an additional 45 days with notice, where allowed by law). Right to appeal: If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to the same email with the subject line "Privacy Appeal"; we will resolve the appeal in writing within 45 days, and if you maintain your disagreement, you may file a complaint with your state's attorney general.

Additional disclosures for California

In the last 12 months, we collected the categories described above (identifiers, commercial information, and internet activity), directly from you and from your use of the Service, for the stated commercial purposes, and disclosed them only to the listed service providers. California residents: under Civil Code section 1798.83 ("Shine the Light"), you may request information about disclosures to third parties for direct marketing; our response will be that we do not make such disclosures.

Users outside the United States (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland: we process your data on the legal bases of contract performance (art. 6.1.b), legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f), and legal compliance (art. 6.1.c). You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, which you can exercise by writing to aplicacion@obomedia.com, and the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Your data is processed on servers located in the United States; by using the Service, the transfer is covered by our providers' standard contractual clauses and the necessity of performing the contract with you (art. 49.1.b).

Minors

The Service is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not allow those who declare themselves to be under 13 to register. Furthermore, a significant portion of our content (true crime, horror) deals with mature themes and is intended for adults; we recommend the Service only for individuals aged 18 or older, or minors with parental supervision according to the ratings of each program.

If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please write to us at aplicacion@obomedia.com and we will delete it and cancel any associated account. We do not sell or share information of individuals under 16 years of age.

Data Retention and Deletion

We do not retain personal information indefinitely. We retain your account data as long as your account is active and delete or anonymize it when it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected: account data is deleted upon account deletion; billing records are kept for the period required by tax laws; technical security logs are rotated periodically. You can request the deletion of your account and personal data at any time by writing to aplicacion@obomedia.com; we will process the request within a maximum of 7 days, except for data that the law obliges us to retain.

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and the principle of least privilege. No system is 100% secure; if a security breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by applicable breach notification laws.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. We will post the current version on this page with its update date and, if the change is material, we will notify you by reasonable means (e.g., email or a notice on the Service) before it becomes effective.
